Giving "digital keys" to poor households

VHO - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Kieu Ward (Can Tho City) said that the unit has coordinated with the Ninh Kieu Ward Youth Union and a bank in the city to organize a program to give smartphones to poor households in the area. The activity aims to support people in accessing information technology, promoting the application of science and technology in daily life.

Emphasizing that “to successfully transform digitally, people need to have enough conditions and means to participate”, Ms. Nga said that the bank's support through giving smartphones to people in difficulty not only has material value, but is also a "digital key" to help people access public services, study, health care and social connection.
