Hundreds of letters with different handwritings but all contain innocent, pure feelings of school age, expressing respect and deep gratitude to the officers and soldiers who are day and night firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
In the letter, Nguyen Khanh Ngoc wrote: “I have known you guys a lot through television, newspapers and books as well as through the stories of my grandparents, parents and teachers. I really admire and respect your noble sacrifice for the peace of the Fatherland. Thanks to you guys who always hold your guns firmly and protect Vietnam’s sovereignty, we can happily go to school every day.”

With the same thought, Nguyen Phuong Xuyen's letter wrote: "I would like to thank the soldiers for sacrificing themselves to bring peace to the country, so that we can go to school and live happily like today."
The letters written by students of Van Bao Primary School when the school launched the movement "Send letters to soldiers" were received by the Naval Region 4 Command and forwarded to soldiers in Truong Sa Special Zone.

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Dung, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Naval Region 4 Command, shared: “These letters are a precious spiritual gift, adding strong motivation for officers and soldiers of the Truong Sa Special Zone to continue to hold their guns firmly and stand firm at the forefront of the storm. In particular, these letters were given to officers and soldiers of the Truong Sa Special Zone on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the Vietnam People's Navy's first victory (August 2 and 5, 1964), so we appreciate even more the feelings of the young generation on the mainland for the soldiers on the islands of our homeland.
In the modern life, many means of communication such as phone, zalo, facebook, viber, email are being used everywhere, so handwritten letters are becoming rare. Therefore, hundreds of letters from students of Van Bao Primary School sent to officers and soldiers of Truong Sa Special Zone have sacred cultural and spiritual values, continuing the tradition of "Great Rear - Steadfast Front".
