On August 25, the University of Education (Hue University) in collaboration with Ha Tinh Orphanage organized a scholarship program and welcomed new student Nguyen Thi Hong Anh.
Nguyen Thi Hong Anh lost her father at a young age, her mother was sick and mentally impaired. Since grade 7, she was adopted by the Ha Tinh Orphanage. In the recent high school graduation exam, she scored 28.25 points in block C00 (Literature 9, History 9.5, Geography 9.75) and was admitted to the Faculty of PrimaryEducation , University of Education (Hue University).
This is one of the 7 key pedagogical schools in the country, currently training 26 full-time university majors. Training is based on orders and quotas set by localities, so students have jobs after graduation. For two consecutive years, the school has had the highest admission score at Hue University.
In the recent high school graduation exam, Ha Tinh Orphanage had 4 children participating in the exam, and all 4 were admitted to universities across the country.
At the ceremony, Dr. Le Ho Son - Principal of the University of Education (Hue University) informed about Nguyen Thi Hong Anh's score when applying to the Faculty of Primary Education. However, with the current difficult situation, her dream of going to university is facing many difficulties, especially the cost of studying.
Understanding her situation, the leadership and lecturers of the University of Education (Hue University) expressed their sympathy and wanted to share to help Hong Anh reduce her difficulties. This is also the slogan "Humanity - Liberal - Creation" that the school always takes as a philosophy to comprehensively educate its students.
On this occasion, the school's leadership awarded the "Support to School" scholarship worth 50 million VND for 4 years of study so that new student Nguyen Thi Hong Anh can continue to fulfill her dream.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hai, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, on behalf of the provincial leaders, congratulated the results of all the new students facing difficult circumstances living at the Ha Tinh Orphanage, achieved in the recent exam, especially Nguyen Thi Hong Anh.
The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee also expressed his gratitude to those who have nurtured and educated the children at the Children's Village and hoped that their growth will contribute to the overall development of the country.
At the ceremony, Nguyen Thi Hong Anh thanked the provincial leaders, the University of Education (Hue University), and organizations and sponsors for their support and encouragement so that she could confidently go to university. She also especially thanked the mothers at the Ha Tinh Orphanage and the community and society for their support and protection so that she could achieve the results she has today.
Female student Hong Anh also promised to try to practice, strive, and study seriously to achieve high results, soon become a qualified teacher to return to her home province to contribute to the education sector and help students in the same situation at the Ha Tinh Orphanage.
