Giving gifts to families with revolutionary contributions and difficult circumstances in Vinh Linh

Also attending were comrade Vo Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province; comrades leading central departments, ministries and branches; leaders of Nhan Dan Newspaper; representatives of districts, towns and cities in Quang Tri province; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, representatives of families with meritorious services to the revolution, etc.

At the program, the Organizing Committee coordinated with benefactors to present gifts of gratitude to representatives of families with revolutionary contributions and difficult circumstances in Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province.

Specifically, Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group donated 500 million VND to families with revolutionary contributions in Vinh Linh district. Pha Le Group also donated 300 million VND to support the army and people of Con Co island (Quang Tri).

Mr. Do Chi Thanh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, presented gifts worth 500 million VND to families with revolutionary contributions in Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri.

In addition, Nhan Dan Newspaper also coordinated with Vingroup 's Thien Tam Fund to present 500 gifts worth VND500 million to families with special needs in Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province. Dau Tu Newspaper and 315 Health System presented 200 scholarships to poor but studious students in Quang Tri Province, each gift worth VND1 million.

In addition, Nhan Dan Television cooperated with Thien Tam Fund and Quang Tri Youth Club in Hanoi to present 200 bicycles to students in 3 mountainous communes of Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province.

Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pha Le Group, presented 300 million VND to support the army and people of Con Co Island, Quang Tri Province.

Parallel 17 - Desire for Peace is a special political art program organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with Quang Tri province. The program aims to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh Area's Traditional Day (August 25, 1954 - August 25, 2024), review the years of division between the North and the South, and especially the occasion to recall the glorious steel accumulation period of Vinh Linh, the northern bridgehead, the direct rear of the southern front.

The program will be broadcast live on Nhan Dan Television, rebroadcast on Quang Tri Television and a number of local television stations at 8:00 p.m. on August 16.
