Awarding the Decision to appoint the new Deputy Minister

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Ministry of Planning and Investment held a conference to announce the Prime Minister's Decision on appointing Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam as Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.

Authorized by the Prime Minister , Minister Nguyen Chi Dung presented the appointment decision to Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam.

Pursuant to Decision No. 1199/QD-TTg dated October 17, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh appointed Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam, Director of the Department of National Economic Synthesis, Ministry of Planning and Investment, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment. The term of appointment is 5 years. The decision takes effect from October 17, 2024.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Party Committee, the Ministry's leaders and the cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung congratulated Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam on being trusted and trusted by the Party and the State; and being appointed by the Prime Minister to hold such a great responsibility. Regarding the new Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Tam, the Minister said that this is an important event, marking a new process, a new milestone in his personal career. Minister Nguyen Chi Dung hopes that the new Deputy Minister will promote the tradition of solidarity and unity of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, be exemplary, take the lead and excellently complete the assigned tasks. Speaking on receiving the assignment, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Tam pledged to work with the Party Committee and the Ministry's leaders to unite, unify and work together with the Minister to well perform the tasks assigned by the Party, the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister. Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Tam also affirmed that he will always strive, do his best, constantly learn, practice, be dedicated, and quickly approach new tasks; vow to use all his abilities, intelligence, and enthusiasm, join hands with the Party Executive Committee, the Party Committee of the Ministry, and units in the Ministry, continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, creativity, dare to think, dare to do, to lead, direct, and operate in the assigned fields, meeting the practical requirements of the work in the new situation and the trust of the Minister.

New Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Duc Tam has more than 20 years of working experience at the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam was born in 1981 and started working at the Department of General Economic Affairs, Ministry of Planning and Investment in 2003. During more than 20 years of working and working at the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam has held many important positions, such as: Head of General Affairs Department, Department of General Economic Affairs; Head of Secretariat, Ministry Office. From March 2011 to April 2019, he was appointed and held the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Business Registration Management. In April 2019, he was appointed as Chief of the Ministry Office. Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam also held the position of Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy, from January 2021 to April 2023; Director of the Department of General Economic Affairs, from April 2023 to the time of his appointment as Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.
