Deploying art performance programs to serve union members, youth and workers in 2024

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of January 17, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hai Phong worked with relevant sectors and units to implement performance activities to serve union members, youth, workers and laborers in 2024.

Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Tran Thi Hoang Mai chaired the meeting.

Implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee at the meeting and dialogue with workers, civil servants, laborers and youth of the city in 2023 on implementing programs and projects to improve the cultural and spiritual life of union members, youth and workers in industrial parks, the Department of Culture and Sports has planned to organize cultural and artistic activities to serve union members, youth, workers and laborers in 2024.

Currently, the city has 5 professional art troupes under the management of the Department of Culture and Sports, including: Hai Phong Cheo Troupe, Hai Phong Puppetry Art Troupe, Hai Phong Cai Luong Troupe, Song and Dance Troupe and Hai Phong Drama Troupe. From the success of the Television Stage Project, art programs are diverse in genres and constantly innovated in content. In addition, touring art programs are widely deployed and receive enthusiastic response from people in localities, especially in suburban districts far from the city center. Thereby, creating a vibrant atmosphere, contributing greatly to propaganda work and more clearly affirming the city leaders' interest in the spiritual life of all people.

In the last months of 2023, the city's Department of Culture and Sports closely coordinated with units to organize more than 15 performances for workers, receiving a warm welcome and special attention from a large number of workers in industrial parks in the city.

Speaking at the meeting, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Tran Thi Hoang Mai said that organizing art programs in industrial parks and export processing zones in the city to serve union members, youth and workers is a specific and practical activity to meet the needs of enjoying art and culture and improve the spiritual life of union members, youth and workers in enterprises, creating motivation to promote and improve production and business efficiency. Thereby, affirming the environment and superior policies of the city in attracting investment and labor, at the same time showing deep concern for the spiritual life of the city's people in general and union members, youth and workers in particular of the city's leaders and all levels and sectors.

The Director of the Department of Culture and Sports hopes that the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, the City Labor Federation and the Hai Phong City Youth Union, based on the functions and tasks of the unit, will direct relevant agencies, enterprises and units to survey the needs of union members, youth and workers for enjoying art; at the same time, agree with the Department of Culture and Sports on the time, location, content of the service program, ensuring the conditions and venues for performance...

At the meeting, representatives of relevant agencies and units discussed, clarified and agreed on coordination plans such as performance time, performance venue, stage, etc., along with many other tasks, in order to organize a performance program to serve union members, youth and workers in the city.
