On the morning of November 3, Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with Vietnam Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company to organize the Workshop "Energy Saving in Nghe An Province". Attending were representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade, localities, and key energy users in Nghe An .
The workshop aims to effectively support key energy-using establishments in Nghe An province to effectively implement the provisions of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy and the system of sub-law documents. From there, enterprises and units will be equipped with knowledge, skills, and appropriate investment support capital sources in the energy sector to apply and implement in their units, ensuring the goals issued by the Central and local governments.
Nghe An currently has 38 key energy-using units, concentrated in industrial parks and large factories. According to statistics, the industrial production index in Nghe An increased by 10.06% compared to the previous year, focusing on the electricity production and distribution, mining, processing, manufacturing, etc. Therefore, the application of energy-saving solutions is very important.
In recent years, Nghe An province and the Department of Industry and Trade have organized many programs to promote the effective use of energy, such as organizing the annual Earth Hour Campaign; organizing campaigns to launch movements to use energy economically and effectively; the "Energy Saving in the Industry and Trade Sector" contest; training on energy knowledge, applying energy saving solutions for businesses, units, ward and commune officials, members of associations and households...
In the 2021-2025 period, Nghe An strives to save 5-7% of total energy consumption, reducing power loss to less than 6.5%.
At the workshop, facilities and units were lectured by experts on topics related to energy saving and efficiency such as: Legal framework on energy saving and efficiency; Overview of greenhouse gas inventory; Overview of energy consumption and energy saving solutions in the industry... Difficulties and obstacles in implementing energy saving solutions at each unit were also discussed and resolved.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hau - an expert in the energy sector in Vietnam emphasized: To effectively implement energy saving work, units and enterprises in Nghe An need to synchronously implement solutions in the coming time, focusing on implementing solutions such as: Developing annual and 5-year plans on economical and efficient energy use of the facility; developing and implementing measures for economical and efficient energy use according to established goals, policies and plans; regulating regimes and responsibilities for each collective and individual related to the implementation of the plan for economical and efficient energy use at the facility.
In addition, it is necessary to have a network and energy managers according to the criteria specified in Clause 1, Article 35, Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy. Regularly check and monitor the energy consumption needs of vehicles and equipment on the entire production line, the status of new installation, renovation, and repair of energy-using equipment of the facility, etc.
