Press photo exhibition "Hai Phong integration and development"

On the afternoon of June 24, at the Hai Phong City Cultural, Cinema and Exhibition Center, the Hai Phong Journalists Association in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports organized the opening ceremony of the Press Photo Exhibition with the theme "Hai Phong Integration and Development".

The exhibition displays more than 300 typical press, documentary and statistical photos, vividly reflecting the outstanding achievements of Hai Phong in the fields of economy , culture, society, national defense-security and foreign affairs. Thereby, it depicts a dynamic and brave Hai Phong city, gradually affirming its position as the driving force of development of the Northern coastal region and one of the leading growth poles of the country.

Over the years, Hai Phong has consistently maintained its role as an economic bright spot in the north. The city’s GRDP has consistently led the region, maintaining double-digit growth for more than a decade.

Hai Phong seaport plays the role of logistics center of the northern region.

In 2024, Hai Phong will continue to be in the top 3 largest growth poles in the North, ranking 5th in the country in terms of economic scale. At the same time, the city will maintain its leading position in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), provincial competitiveness index (PCI), administrative reform index (PAR Index) and people's satisfaction with the government.

Not only focusing on economic development, Hai Phong is also a leading locality in social security work, caring for the lives of people with meritorious services, and investing heavily in cultural and sports institutions. Cultural, artistic and sports activities are increasingly diverse, contributing to preserving and promoting the identity of the traditional port city in a modern and civilized urban appearance.

With outstanding achievements and glorious revolutionary tradition, in May 2025, Hai Phong was honored to receive the noble title of "Heroic City" signed by the President. This is not only the pride of the Party Committee, government and people of the city but also a great source of encouragement for Hai Phong to continue to conquer new heights, reaching out strongly to the sea.

The press photo exhibition “Hai Phong integration and development” is an opportunity to look back at proud milestones, while promoting the image of a dynamic, innovative and unique Port City to domestic and international friends.

This is also a practical activity contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 16th National Party Congress of the City and Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Hai Phong to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
