This is the first national-level in-depth forum dedicated to the field of digital publishing, an open dialogue space to connect and shape the strategic direction for the Vietnamese publishing industry in the context of global digital transformation.
The event was organized by the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Alliance, the Digital Copyright Center in collaboration with Alpha Books Joint Stock Company under the auspices of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA). The forum is expected to be held annually, serving as a strategic gathering point for publishers, creators and innovators in Vietnam.

In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association, affirmed: We are living in an era where technology not only changes the way we communicate, study or work, but also reshapes the way people access and consume knowledge. In that context, the publishing industry, which is closely linked to tradition and culture, is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.
With the theme “The Future of Publishing in the Digital Age”, the 2025 Digital Publishing Forum focuses comprehensively on digital publishing at the intersection of content-technology-business.
The main contents discussed include: updating international, regional and domestic publishing trends, helping to see more clearly the global picture, thereby shaping a development strategy suitable for the context of Vietnam; sharing the role of new technologies such as AI, big data, blockchain in transforming traditional publishing models to digital publishing...
According to the Organizing Committee, digital publishing is currently considered a global "gold mine" with an estimated turnover of 120 billion USD, opening up great growth potential for content businesses. The publishing industry is witnessing strong shifts in technology and artificial intelligence (AI) along with major orientations from Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation and Resolution 68 on private economic development.
In that context, it is essential for the publishing industry to promote initiatives and solutions applying technology. From paper books to e-books, from traditional reading to audio-visual-interaction, publishing is rapidly shifting to meet the new behavior of Vietnamese readers, not outside the global trend.
Presenting to delegates in person at the conference hall and tens of thousands of viewers online on digital platforms, communications expert Le Quoc Vinh, Vice President of Fonos, shared the content of "Digitalization of content - Mission, habits & synergy", with the focus on digital transformation as not only a technological revolution but also a shift in thinking about accessing knowledge.
Besides, speaker Nguyen The Hung, Director of Aki Electronics Limited Liability Company, provided an overview of the "Copyright ebook ecosystem", from devices, content to distribution platforms.

Contributing his perspective on “Publishing Transformation in the Digital Age”, Mr. Nguyen Canh Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alpha Books, Director of the ABG Leadership Institute, emphasized the role of new formats such as flashcards, bilingual books, and microlearning videos in the journey of spreading knowledge, creating a content ecosystem from single products.
The afternoon session of the forum continued to gather leading experts, bringing multi-dimensional and practical perspectives. Speaker Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University, an influential digital content creator on social networks, delivered an insightful speech on “Effective approach to readers in the AI era”, emphasizing that understanding reader behavior is the key to a modern publishing development strategy.

With the topic "Application of AI in book production and distribution", Mr. Tran Chi Hieu (Hieu Orion), founder of Orion Media, Director of AI Center - Vietnam Blockchain Association, presented a series of vivid and quick visual examples, showing a new vision of optimizing the publishing process with technology. This speaker also affirmed the message: "AI does not replace books, AI helps each book reach many people at the right time, in the right way".
A notable highlight within the framework of the 2025 Digital Publishing Forum is the Launching Ceremony of the “Beta Garden” project - a competition to search for innovative startup ideas in the field of publishing technology, stimulating creativity from the young community and content businesses.

In addition to the professional presentations, the discussion session "Connecting technology - Exploring the market" created a space for lively and valuable exchanges between managers, technology experts and businesses.
The forum has the participation of many pioneers in the field of digital publishing such as Fonos, Akishop, Mydio... contributing to enriching the publishing ecosystem in Vietnam.
