On the morning of April 14, at 31 Thai Van Lung, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the Institute for Cultural Exchange with France (IDECAF) in collaboration with The World ArtSpace organized the exhibition "Fragrance and Beauty of Vietnamese Fine Arts", under the sponsorship of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs. The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France.
In this exhibition, the Organizing Committee introduces a collection of more than 30 works with materials such as oil paint, lacquer, watercolor, silk, etc.
In addition, the exhibition also features sketches by Nguyen Gia Tri, Nguyen Sieu, or Nguyen Cao Thuong, and a number of oil and watercolor paintings.
All the works selected in this exhibition are imbued with the Vietnamese flavor. These are works by authors with the "style of the Indochina School of Fine Arts" such as: Nguyen Van Trung with "Three girls going to the pagoda", "Four sisters", "Bathing for you", "Golden bamboo"; Thanh Le with " Binh Duong pagoda gate", "Banana tree"; Nguyen Khac Vinh with "Northwest landscape 01", "Northwest landscape 02", "Fish market"; Dang Manh Hung with "Buffalo wool season"; Do Manh Cuong with "Girl and the bird of peace"; Dang Quy Khoa with "Cat", "By the stream"; Dang Quy Khoa with "Kim Lien pagoda gate", "Going to Huong pagoda", "Con Son"; Le Vinh with "Ethnic girl"; Ung Mong; Phi Loc with "Market session"; Nguyen Cao Thuong with "Cay hill", "Rubber forest"; Nguyen Van Ro with "Lotus"; H. ANAM with "Mr. and Mrs. Chieu's Mausoleum"…
Vietnamese painting is a completely separate stream on the world art scene. The nuances of Vietnamese painting, since the cradle of the Indochina School of Fine Arts was established until now, is still a style that cannot be confused with any other civilization.
The exhibition runs until April 22.
