Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai, Director of Hue Museum of Fine Arts, shared: 150 outstanding works on display were selected from a collection of nearly 1,500 sketches about Hue currently preserved and developed by Hue Museum of Fine Arts from 2020 to present.

This is the result of the tireless creative journey of many architects, painters, and art lovers from the Hanoi Urban Sketching Group and Hue visual artists - the authors who directly sketched the unique architectural features, natural beauty and people of the ancient capital to contribute to promoting the value of the Hue cultural heritage system that is preserved intact, both tangible and intangible, from royal culture to folk culture, from natural landscapes to lifestyles, customs, and people of Hue...

With direct drawing style and sincere emotions, the authors have portrayed a Hue that is both intimate and profound, yet sparkling and fresh. Each sketch is like a story told in the language of brushstrokes, carrying within it the spiritual depth and the artist’s own mark. Each work not only records the external beauty of the heritage, but also conveys the cultural - historical depth, emotions and personal memories of this land. The exhibition lasts until August 22.

Along with the thematic exhibition “The beauty of Hue cultural heritage through sketch art” at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, this occasion also includes activities to display and perform Hue traditional ao dai with the theme “Ao dai and heritage” and activities to learn and experience woodblock printing with embossed patterns on Hue’s Nine Urns and paintings from Sinh Hue village.
