"I was very excited and booked tickets a week in advance to be able to attend the first show," Bao Van, an office worker in District 1, shared about the "heat" of the new Van Gogh Art Lighting Experience exhibition that officially opened on December 9 at Gigamall Shopping Center (Thu Duc City).

The exhibition is considered a breath of fresh air, attracting more and more visitors.

Social networks were then flooded with information, "check-in" photos, and shared content about the event with the general status being "very impressive and wonderful". It is estimated that after only 5 days of opening, the exhibition attracted thousands of visitors, including both Vietnamese and international visitors.

Many international visitors expressed their interest in this exhibition. A quick interview showed that the common point they mentioned was liking the layout of each area, the complete information, clear explanations and impressions about the entire life of the famous Dutch painter. "Having seen the exhibition in the Netherlands, I learned more about Van Gogh than I knew before. It was really overwhelming", shared a female international visitor.

The exhibition also received much praise from experts, when this Vietnamese organizer directly purchased the copyright of the Van Gogh exhibition from the Van Gogh Museum in the Netherlands, bringing this form of multi-sensory interactive art to Vietnam.

"Combining technology and art, this exhibition not only has an aesthetic impact on the city's residents, but also promotes the formation of the fine arts market in Vietnam, attracting a large number of visitors," said artist Siu Quy, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association.

Giving a similar assessment, artist Nguyen Xuan Loc, Director of Thien Loc Fine Arts Company, said that the similarity with traditional exhibitions is visual art, but the way of enjoying it is completely different. "Having been doing art for nearly 30 years, my personal feeling is that this is a big, new and wonderful exhibition," artist Loc commented.

Spreading world art values to Vietnamese public

According to artist Siu Quy, nowadays, people's need to enjoy art can be mentioned as senses such as hearing, smell, taste, touch, ... Van Gogh multi-sensory art exhibition combines sound in many diverse spaces with digital projections, 360-degree mapping, Van Gogh cafe ... has deeply impacted the emotions of the art-loving public.

Visitors are fascinated by the paintings at the exhibition.

The exhibition also invested heavily in technology. For example, in the Vincent's Life and Vincent's Soul areas alone, the Organizing Committee deployed up to 90 projectors to ensure the most vivid and sharp image experience. This is a record number for a corresponding exhibition area.

Vietnam has great potential and demand for cultural and artistic experiences, which is the common vision shared by the exhibition's partners Jazzy Paradise and First Interactive Technology, along with the accompanying partners Gigamall and Vioso Shopping Center. Accordingly, the public, especially the youth, are spending more and more time learning about and enjoying art.

"In my opinion, this trend is positive because people, mostly young people, can access and understand painting and the positive health in life more easily. In fact, this exhibition is to bring the erudition of painting to the public so that it can be seen and understood more easily, thereby contributing to making it more beautiful and lively for everyone," painter Xuan Loc shared about the new trend of enjoying multi-sensory interactive art.

Van Gogh Art Lighting Experience not only helps spread artistic values closer to the public, but also brings more meaning to the construction of art spaces in general, which is even more meaningful to Ho Chi Minh City. Responding to "Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week" launched by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism in December 2023, the Van Gogh multi-sensory interactive art exhibition is also considered an extremely meaningful highlight, bringing full color and impression to the tourism picture of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to stimulating domestic and international tourism, promoting the growth of the city's tourism and economy .
