Screening of films to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day

TTH.VN - A large number of people and armed forces soldiers attended the opening ceremony and watched films in the screening series to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and major holidays of May 1, May 7, and May 19, 2025 on the evening of April 28 at Dong Ba Theater (187 Tran Hung Dao, Phu Xuan District).

Documentary "National Reunification - The Chosen Path" was screened after the opening ceremony.

The event was organized by the Hue City Cultural and Cinema Center. Right after the opening ceremony, the organizers screened the documentary "Unification of the Country - The Chosen Path" and the feature film "The Childhood Moon". This screening will take place in the evenings, from now until May 7 and May 19. The films selected for screening are mainly feature films and current affairs documentaries with appropriate content and topics.

Some of the films include: "The Moon of Childhood" (Liberation Film Joint Stock Company), "Liberation of Saigon" (Liberation Film Studio), "Red Ban Flowers", "The Scent of Burning Grass" (Vietnam Feature Film Studio), "Looking Out to the Sea", "Thau Chin in Xiem" (Vietnam Cinema Association Film Studio), "The Legend Writers" (Vietnam Feature Film Studio LLC)... According to the Organizing Committee, "The Moon of Childhood" has just been released, recreating the childhood of President Ho Chi Minh as the boy Nguyen Sinh Cung.

In addition to organizing screenings at Dong Ba Cinema, at the same time, the mobile film screening team of Hue City Cultural and Cinema Center will organize screenings for Regiment 6 under the city's Military Command and mountainous communes, remote areas, especially difficult areas, and remote rural areas...

The film screening contributes to the widespread propaganda and education of the entire Party, people and army about the stature, value and great historical significance of the resistance war against the US to save the country, the Great Victory of Spring 1975, the liberation of the South, and the reunification of the country.
