On August 20, at Phu Yen Provincial Museum, the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Traditional tools in the life of ancient Phu Yen people" took place.

The exhibition introduces 192 artifacts, with groups of traditional agricultural tools, used in tilling, planting, irrigating, caring, harvesting, transporting; traditional fishing tools in fresh, brackish and salt water; traditional handicraft tools such as: weaving, mat weaving, making sugar cane, making coconut oil, making fish sauce; some tools for making folk cakes.
The exhibition space also introduces 30 images depicting the landscape of some villages in Phu Yen and 7 sketches about the use of some traditional tools for production and life.
This exhibition aims to provide viewers with an overview of traditional tools that were once commonly used in Phu Yen. The historical and cultural information contained in each artifact helps to better understand the simple life, the spirit of hard work and creativity, and the valuable knowledge and experience of the ancients.
Right at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, people and visitors experienced some activities such as pounding rice, milling flour, processing raw materials and practicing making some types of traditional confectionery with traditional tools.
The exhibition runs until September 2024.
