Ho Chi Minh City Museum received the stamp set from collector Tran Van Bui.
This stamp exhibition has the contribution of collectors Nguyen Dai Hung Loc and Tran Van Bui. According to Mr. Nguyen Dai Hung Loc, the exhibition aims to review the historical imprints in the life of President Ho Chi Minh associated with the history of the revolution to liberate the nation, protect independence and sovereignty , unify the country and bring happiness and prosperity to the people, build the country more and more prosperous and beautiful, contributing to the construction of "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space". Through that, he also wishes to introduce and spread the culture of collecting stamps and postcards to the community.
The special issue introduces 225 images, stamps and postcards, including 3 parts. Part 1, with the theme "Portraits of President Ho Chi Minh through the ages", introduces the period from his childhood to the last years of his life. It includes a collection of stamps commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's birthday over the years, especially the stamp issued on May 19, 1960 - on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his birth.
With the theme "Journey in Uncle Ho's footsteps", part 2 provides an overview of his homeland, family, journey to find a way to save the country, and his career of founding the Party and leading the Vietnamese revolution in the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism.

Part 3 is the theme “Uncle Ho in the hearts of the Vietnamese people and international friends”. This part displays stamp images of Uncle Ho attached to the people, especially the people of the South, with children, the people's police force and with Ho Chi Minh City - the city honored to bear his name. Besides, there are images of Uncle Ho introduced through stamps of some countries in the world such as Laos, Cambodia, Russia, Germany...
Visiting the exhibition with her friends, Phan Ngoc Linh Chi, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH), said that she had never had the experience of pasting stamps to send letters before, so when she saw the images of the stamps, she felt very excited. “I want to see the precious stamp collection about Uncle Ho to explore the stamps associated with the content inside the stamps; thereby understanding more deeply about Uncle Ho's journey to find a way to save the country, about the historical journey of Vietnam,” Linh Chi said.

At the ceremony, Ms. Doan Thi Trang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, said that President Ho Chi Minh is an outstanding symbol of the determination of an entire nation, who devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation of the Vietnamese people, contributing to the common struggle of nations for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress. Throughout his nearly 80-year revolutionary life, he fought against oppression and injustice, bringing a prosperous life to the people, and seeking happiness for humanity.
According to Ms. Doan Thi Trang, the exhibition “Journey in Uncle Ho’s footsteps through stamp and postcard collections” offers a vivid and unique perspective on the life and great revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh through a collection of valuable stamps and postcards. Each artifact is not only a historical witness but also contains touching stories about the patriotism, indomitable will and aspiration for independence and freedom of our nation under his leadership.

The exhibition is open to the public at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum (65 Ly Tu Trong Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1) until June 18, 2025.
