Attending the event were Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Son Mong - Deputy Division Commander of Division 5; Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Minh Tu - Regiment Commander of Regiment 271; local Party Committee and government of Phu Giao commune.
The “House of Gratitude” was given to professional soldier Lieutenant Colonel Doan Duc Toai – warehouse keeper of the Logistics and Technical Department of Regiment 271, whose family is in difficult circumstances. After more than two months of construction, the house was completed with a total cost of 135 million VND; of which the “Repaying Gratitude” Fund of the Military Region supported 80 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family.
Over the years, the Party Standing Committee, the Division Commander and the 271st Regiment have always paid attention to, led and directed the good implementation of military and rear policies. The construction and handover of "Houses of Gratitude" and "Houses of Comrades" are practical activities with profound humanistic significance, contributing to helping officers and soldiers in difficult circumstances stabilize their lives, feel secure in their work, and further enhance the tradition of the heroic Division./.
