On the afternoon of November 8, within the framework of attending the 8th Greater Mekong Subregion Summit and working in China, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended a program introducing Vietnamese culture and tourism in Chongqing city.

According to the assessment, cultural and tourism cooperation has been developing positively, increasingly in-depth and sustainably, being an important foundation for trade and investment activities and a bright spot in the relationship between the two countries.

There are 330 flights between China and Vietnam every week.

Currently, there are an average of 330 flights per week between Vietnam and China; tourism routes between Vietnam and China are increasingly vibrant, products are constantly being added with a variety of destinations, affordable prices, meeting many market segments.

Although the market has great potential, opinions say that tourism cooperation and tourist exchange between Vietnam and China are still not commensurate. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to coordinate policy exchange, exploit tourism routes, and increase flights.

Speaking at the program, the Prime Minister said that Chongqing - a beautiful city on the Yangtze River - is a very suitable place to organize a program to introduce culture and tourism.

On the basis of neighboring countries sharing a common border, "mountains connecting to mountains, rivers connecting to rivers", and a friendly relationship of "both comrades and brothers", Vietnam always attaches importance to consolidating and developing friendly and cooperative relations with China.

In which, cultural and tourism cooperation between the two countries is of great significance, contributing to raising the level of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and building the Vietnam - China Community of Shared Future, cultural tourism is a highlight in bilateral relations.

Emphasizing that China will remain Vietnam's largest tourism market, the Prime Minister called on cultural and tourism businesses to promote cooperation.

Putting forward the 20-word motto to promote tourism cooperation - "close connection; harmonious coordination; extensive cooperation; inclusive, comprehensive; effective, appropriate", he suggested that each enterprise and each citizen contribute to the friendship "both comrades and brothers" between Vietnam and China to increasingly blossom and bear fruit, bringing practical results to enterprises, the two countries and the two peoples.

Prime Minister visits Hong Nham historical site

Also on the afternoon of November 8, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Hongyan historical site in Chongqing city, China - where there is the old site of the revolutionary Nhieu Quoc Mo - names associated with the activities of revolutionary predecessors such as Chairman Mao Zedong, Prime Minister Zhou Enlai, and President Ho Chi Minh.

On the second floor of the Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall, next to the former living and working rooms of Chairman Mao Zedong and Prime Minister Zhou Enlai, is the room where President Ho Chi Minh, with the alias Ho Quang, lived and worked as a revolutionary during the period of 1939-1940.

The Hong Nham relic site, which includes the room where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked, is preserved, restored and conserved by China and Vietnam as a precious asset of both nations. Every year, the relic site welcomes about 1 million visitors to visit, study and research.

Signing the golden book of memories at the relic site, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed the Vietnamese Government's sincere thanks to the Party Committee, government and people of Chongqing for preserving and conserving the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Room at the Hong Nham Revolutionary Memorial House.

The Prime Minister said that this precious historical relic is a vivid testament to the close friendship, "both comrades and brothers" between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China during the years of fighting for national independence of each country.

He believes that the relic site will continue to contribute to educating revolutionary traditions, consolidating a solid social foundation for the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance.
