(Dan Tri) - Many banks give away extra money, SJC gold, shopping vouchers... to customers who open new accounts to receive a gift of 100,000 VND on the occasion of National Day, September 2, via the VNeID application.

Immediately after the information that the State will give 100,000 VND/person to all citizens on the occasion of National Day, September 2, a series of banks have announced attractive gift programs for customers when linking bank accounts in social security accounts on the VNeID application.

In addition to the 100,000 VND received according to the general policy, customers can receive an additional 50,000-100,000 VND, depending on the bank's policy, into their account when opening a new account and successfully linking to VNeID.

Some other banks have launched a program to give away money with the chance to win one SJC gold bar. In particular, at one unit, customers whose new opening order numbers fall into special milestones such as 99, 299, 699... or 9,999, 19,999, 29,999... will also receive a gift worth one SJC gold bar.

Some banks have announced that they will arrange staff to work during the 4-day holiday (from August 30 to September 2) to carry out payment transactions as required by the State Treasury ( Ministry of Finance ) to promptly pay the 100,000 VND gift on September 2 to people.

According to a survey, right after the information about giving 100,000 VND/person to all people on the occasion of Independence Day was announced on August 28, many people quickly installed the VNeID application to link to their bank accounts.

All Vietnamese citizens whose information is registered at the National Population Data Center can link their bank accounts to VNeID to receive social security payments.

Up to now, according to a survey by Dan Tri reporters, there are 30 banks and wallets that have linked with the VNeID application to receive subsidies from social policies.

Since August 31, many customers have reported that their bank accounts have been credited with 100,000 VND. This is a gift of 100,000 VND according to the State's policy.

According to data from the State Treasury, by 4:30 p.m. on August 31, the agency had spent nearly VND5,700 billion in gifts on the occasion of September 2, reaching more than 53% of the estimate (more than VND10,700 billion). Of which, cash payments accounted for almost all of the total, with nearly VND5,690 billion (99.83%), and transfers of nearly VND10 billion (0.17%). The State Treasury previously said it worked through the holidays to promptly distribute money to people.

Each citizen will receive 100,000 VND on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. The total amount is expected to be more than 10,700 billion VND. The transfer of money for September 2 to the people will start from August 30 and will be completed before September 2. In case of objective reasons, citizens can receive gifts after this deadline, but no later than September 15.

People can receive money through their social security accounts integrated on VNeID, or receive it directly at payment points organized by the locality. Payments are made according to permanent households. The amount of money for each household is calculated for each person based on national data. The head of the household or an authorized member will receive it on behalf of and transfer it to other members. For citizens who have not registered for permanent residence, the gift is given directly to each person or authorized person.
