Hue Monuments Conservation Center apologizes for fireworks incident

The Hue Monuments Conservation Center early this morning (May 6) sent an apology and hoped to receive sympathy from "dear people and tourists" after the firecracker incident on the evening of May 3 in the Hue Flag Tower area.

The firecracker flew off course and fell into the crowd.

The Hue Monuments Conservation Center confirmed that "a technical incident occurred during the fireworks display at the Hue Flag Tower on the evening of May 3, 2025, affecting the safety of some locals, tourists and families watching in the Phu Van Lau area."

Through that, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center "sincerely apologizes and hopes to receive deep sympathy from the families of the people and tourists who have been affected."

With responsibility and a spirit of learning, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center promises to "learn from experience and comprehensively review all technical stages to avoid similar incidents."

Previously, on the evening of May 3, this unit had a fireworks display and let fireworks continuously fall into the area where people were watching, but did not stop to handle it.
