Voice of children
During the preliminary round of the contest "Searching for young MC talents in 2025", the space at Khanh Hoa Newspaper became bustling with the appearance of contestants, along with parents and teachers. Looking at the children chatting, interacting, and playing with new friends, one could see the joy and comfort of the children when coming to the contest. When the contest began, each contestant focused on their performance. There were students who showed their very good preparation; some candidates confidently overcame their limitations; some students stumbled, but then showed their ability to handle situations quite well... In particular, through the 2-minute presentation, each contestant expressed their thoughts on the content they were interested in. Some candidates presented their thoughts on environmental protection; transformed into tour guides to introduce the beautiful scenery, culture, festivals, and cuisine of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa; expressing affection for famous people of the country... There are also candidates who mention their relationships with friends and teachers; tell stories of "overcoming themselves" in a certain issue; or share simple wishes for their fathers to spend time playing and talking with them...

Each performance was truly admirable as the contestants boldly stepped onto the stage to speak in front of everyone about what they thought. There were bright smiles from contestants when they performed well in their performance, and there were also red eyes expressing regret; there were contestants who were very confident and there were also those who were still shy and emotional when speaking in front of a crowd. All of these things created the unique color of the contest. Contestant Tran Thi Khanh Vy (Phuoc Hoa ward, Nha Trang city) said: “My performance was about awareness of protecting the marine environment. To participate in the contest, I prepared and practiced for many days. Today, when I stood on stage, I was able to express what I had prepared and I feel very satisfied with that.” Contestant Le Nguyen Vinh Khanh (Vinh Ngoc Primary School, Nha Trang) shared: “My performance introduced the upcoming Sea Culture and Tourism Festival in Nha Trang. I wanted more people to know about this event, so with the guidance of my parents, I read a lot of information in newspapers and social networks to write my presentation. Every day, I spend a lot of time practicing at home, so when I went on stage, I felt confident and was able to present what I wanted.”
Meaningful playground in summer
The contest "Searching for young MC talent in 2025" was organized for the first time by Khanh Hoa Newspaper in collaboration with Thi Thao Training and Entertainment Company Limited, with the hope that the program will be an activity that accompanies parents in developing their linguistic thinking, presentation, and argumentation skills to help children become more confident in life. Although the contest has just passed the preliminary round, what has been shown on stage has helped each contestant to be more confident, as well as gain new knowledge and skills for themselves. Contestant Luong Vu Chien (Nung ethnic group) from Khanh Vinh district shared: “My exam is about the topic of self-confidence. This is something I care about a lot because I want to tell my friends to always be confident in themselves to do what they want. I myself came to this contest with self-confidence. My weakness is speaking softly and forgetting my notes, so I was very worried. But with daily practice, today, I confidently performed my part.”

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Xuan Hien - member of the Jury, the quality of the contestants participating in the preliminary round is better than that of contestants in similar competitions in other localities. Each contestant, as well as their families, have invested and prepared carefully before coming to the contest. That has created a competitive spirit right from the preliminary round of the contest and shows that although the contest was held for the first time, it has had great appeal. Of course, the contestants also have limitations, but they can all be overcome, such as: pronunciation, confidence on stage, performance style... Khanh Hoa Newspaper's organization of this contest has created a very good playground for children. Currently, the impact of social networks has brought about unintentional imitations by children of arts in general, and MC in particular, which can easily lead to deviant behavior for them, so through the contest, it also partly guides them to have a correct view of the job of MC. To extend the meaning of the contest, Khanh Hoa Newspaper should organize programs and activities to continue attracting the participation of contestants who have participated in the contest.

According to Ms. Thai Thi Le Hang - Editor-in-Chief of Khanh Hoa Newspaper, the contest "Searching for MC Talents for Kids 2025" is a useful and healthy playground for children during the summer; a place to explore and develop students' communication skills. This is also an opportunity for children to learn and explore more about famous landscapes, cultural heritages, the beauty of people and land of Khanh Hoa, thereby further spreading the image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to domestic and international friends. Through the contest, the organizers hope to find talented faces to collaborate in some programs of Khanh Hoa Newspaper in the future. Contestants participating in the contest will also be factors to establish the MC Club of Khanh Hoa Newspaper.
At the end of the preliminary round, the organizing committee selected 88 contestants with high scores to move on to the semi-finals scheduled to take place on June 28. After the semi-finals, there will be 12 excellent contestants, along with 1 contestant with the highest number of votes on the BVOTE voting portal, who will participate in the final round, scheduled to take place on July 25.
