Ho Chi Minh City University of Law announces floor scores and differences between methods

GD&TĐ - On the afternoon of July 24, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law announced the threshold to ensure input quality and the rules for converting equivalent scores of different methods.

This year, the school uses 5 admission methods:

- Method 1: direct admission, direct admission and priority admission according to the university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the school (admission method code 301).

- Method 2: Admission combines high school academic results with international language certificates or US SAT test results (admission method code 410).

- Method 3: Admission based on high school academic results for candidates studying at schools listed in the "List of high schools with priority for admission in 2025 of Ho Chi Minh City National University (admission method code 200).

- Method 4: consider candidates with V-SAT (Standardized University Admissions Test for Vietnam) results organized by other units for admission (admission method code 417).

- Method 5: Admission based on the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam (admission method code 100).

The minimum entry score threshold of Methods 2, 3, 4 (converted score) and Method 5 (without coefficient) of specific admission combinations is as follows:

The conversion of equivalent points between methods applies to methods 2, 3 and 4.

- In which, options 2 and 3 (using high school grades) are converted according to the following principles:

For example: The difference between the high school transcript and the high school graduation exam score according to the D01 subject group is 4.0 points (k = 4.0).

Applying the score conversion formula in section a above, the combined score of high school transcript subjects after being converted to the combined score of high school graduation exam subjects is calculated as follows:

y = x - k = 28.0 - 4.0 = 24.0

This means that a candidate with a D01 subject combination score (Math, Literature, English) of 28.0 points in their high school transcript will have a score equivalent to 24.0 points in the high school graduation exam.

- Option 4 (using V-SAT scores) is converted according to the following principles:

This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law enrolls 3,350 students, an increase of about 150 compared to last year. The school enrolls 7 training majors, including 2 new majors: International Business and Finance - Banking, each major has 100 quotas.
