On the afternoon of August 20, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Dr. Huynh Trung Phong, Director of the Center for Student Support and Startup Development of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, said that the school postponed the announcement of the benchmark scores as previously announced.
According to the original plan, today, August 20, the school will announce the benchmark scores for 2025. However, the school postponed the announcement date to August 21 at the earliest or possibly even later, until August 22.

Mr. Phong shared that at present, there is still the final virtual screening session of the Ministry of Education and Training this evening, so everything may change. Up to this point, the school cannot provide specific information or make a specific assessment of the admission score this year.
However, some initial comments show that, with the "heat" of the pedagogical industry, the admission scores for many majors at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education this year may be equivalent to 2024 or higher in some professions.
In 2024, the admission score for Ho Chi Minh City University of Education ranges from 21.9 to 28.6 at the main campus. Many training majors, candidates with a score of 9/subject applying to the school were all rejected.
The highest standard score belongs to literature and history pedagogy with 28.6 points, the minimum score candidates must achieve is nearly 9.6 points/subject to be admitted.
This is also the highest benchmark score among Southern universities in 2024.
In nearly 50 training majors of the school, the standard score based on the transcript of most majors is from 26 and above. In which, the chemistry pedagogy major has the highest standard score of 29.81 (meaning candidates must achieve over 9.9 points in each subject to be admitted).
Many other majors also have benchmark scores above 28, such as primary education 28.66; civic education 28.03; political education 28.22; national security and defense 28.01; mathematics pedagogy 29.55; physics pedagogy 29.48; biology pedagogy 29.46; literature pedagogy 28.92; history pedagogy 29.05; geography pedagogy 28.57; English pedagogy 28.81; Chinese pedagogy 28.16; natural science pedagogy 28.68; history-geography pedagogy 28.23...
With the above benchmark score, it is recorded that about 14,000 excellent students nationwide who applied for transcript review failed to leave this school.
In 2024, pedagogy is the industry with the highest benchmark score in the country and is also the field with the strongest increase in registration wishes.
This year, the pedagogical benchmark is expected to continue to be high when there are many policies to collect candidates such as policies to support living expenses and tuition fees according to Decree 116/2020, pedagogical students are exempted from tuition fees and supported with 3.63 million VND/month to cover living expenses during their time studying at the school.
The Law on Teachers officially takes effect from the beginning of 2026, teachers' salaries will be ranked highest in the administrative career salary scale system, which is considered to continue to be a "boost" for the education sector in the coming time.
Not to mention, the shortage of teachers is also one of the reasons attracting candidates to pedagogy.
