Ho Chi Minh City University of Education's benchmark scores, some majors increased by more than 5 points

On the evening of August 18, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced the benchmark scores according to the 2024 high school graduation score review method.

The school's benchmark scores range from 21.9 to 28.6 at the main campus and from 18.7 to 27.30 at the Long An branch.

Specifically, the 2024 benchmark scores of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education are as follows:

The school's announced benchmark scores show that most majors have increased their benchmark scores, including one major that increased by more than 5 points compared to 2023.

At the main campus, the two majors of history pedagogy and literature pedagogy have the highest score of 28.6 points, an increase of about 1.60-1.75 points compared to 2023.

Although it is the first year of enrollment, the Literature Pedagogy major is also the major with the highest admission score at the Long An branch with 27.30 points, only about 1.3 points different from the main campus.

History and geography education is also among the majors with the highest standard scores at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education this year with 27.75 points (an increase of 1.72 points compared to 2023).

According to MSc. Le Phan Quoc, Deputy Head of the school's Training Department, there are about 2,402 applications for admission to this major based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.

Along with history and geography pedagogy, although it is a new major that will start recruiting from 2022, civiceducation has become a major that many candidates are interested in with 898 applications for admission to this major based on high school graduation exam results.

The admission score for the civic education industry also increased slightly by 0.59 points compared to 2023 to 27.34 points.

Also launching in 2022, the admission score for the Technology Pedagogy major also tends to increase to 24.31 points (an increase of 1.91 points compared to 2023).

In addition to teacher training majors, some new majors outside of pedagogy such as applied biology, tourism and geography have standard scores increased from 2.9 to 5.42 points compared to 2023.

The tourism industry also recorded more than 1,600 applications for admission using the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, 848 applications for geography, and 185 applications for applied biology.

The admission scores for the majors of Applied Biology, Geography and Tourism by this method are 21.9 points, 25.17 points and 25.25 points respectively. Notably, the majors of Tourism and Applied Biology only consider candidates who apply for admission in the 5th choice.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, after knowing the admission score, admitted candidates need to confirm their admission online on the general admission system from August 19 to 27.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education also started organizing online admission for candidates admitted to the University at both the main campus and Long An branch from August 23 to 28. After that, candidates will enroll directly at the main campus on August 28-29, 2024 and at Long An branch on August 30, 2024 according to the detailed schedule for each group of majors.
