The match between the Vietnamese women's team and the Philippines in the second round of Group B of the 33rd SEA Games on the evening of December 8 ended in the most painful way.
The goal conceded in the 90+4 minute of extra time not only caused Vietnam to lose valuable points, but also left heartbreaking moments on the faces of the girls in red, especially Thanh Nha, the most outstanding player of the match but helplessly watched victory slip away.

From the very first minutes, Thanh Nha showed why she is called the “sideline tornado” of the Vietnamese women’s team. Her speed, agility and tireless breakthroughs constantly forced the Philippine defense to retreat deep.

Throughout the match, Thanh Nha almost never stopped running, pressing, fighting and creating many dangerous attacking situations. Each attack of the Vietnamese women's team more or less bore the mark of player number 19.

Whether the coach places her on the left or right wing, Thanh Nha always maintains her form and fulfills her role well. Her ability to accelerate, change direction quickly and maintain good balance helps her to constantly create breakthroughs.

Every time she had the ball on the sidelines, Thanh Nha made the audience wait for something unexpected, from decisive turns to dangerous climbs and crosses. She became the bright spot of the Vietnamese team throughout the match.

Facing a tall, strong and competitive Philippine defense, Thanh Nha still showed confidence and a style of play that was not afraid of collision. Many times, she used her speed to get ahead of her opponents, or skillfully handled the ball to escape the pursuit of defenders with superior physique.

Thanh Nha also showed initiative in attack when continuously looking for opportunities to shoot towards the opponent's goal.

Although the whole team played with great effort to find a goal, the cruel reality came in the 90+4 minute of extra time, when the Philippine women's team scored the decisive goal, forcing the Vietnamese women's team to accept defeat.

When the final whistle blew, there was no sigh, nor a scream of disappointment. Thanh Nha just stood still for a few seconds, as if not believing what had just happened.
She bowed her head and slowly walked towards the coaching area. Without saying a word, Thanh Nha sat down on the ground, her eyes blank.

The sweat had not yet dried on her face, but sadness had already covered her eyes, which were always full of energy.
