
Many Vietnamese taekwondo athletes couldn't hold back their tears after brilliantly winning the second gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 33rd SEA Games in the creative team poomsae event.

After moments of anxiously waiting for the results, the moment the Vietnamese team's name was announced brought tears of joy to the young players' faces, with many athletes covering their faces to hide tears of happiness.


Six athletes, Le Tran Kim Uyen, Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Tran Dang Khoa, Tran Ho Duy, Nguyen Thi Y Binh, and Nguyen Phan Khanh Han, won the gold medal in the creative team poomsae event. Prior to that, they surpassed Thailand, Myanmar, and the Philippines, finishing the competition with 8.060 points, higher than Thailand (7.940) and the Philippines (7.580).

The moment the coaching staff and teammates erupted in joy upon learning that Vietnam's martial arts performance had achieved the highest score became the most memorable image at the arena.


The athletes rushed to embrace their loved ones in the stands, sharing the overwhelming moment after the victory. At the arena, former athlete Chau Tuyet Van was also present to cheer and celebrate the emotional gold medal win of her younger teammates.

In the competition, the young athletes showcased their forms with decisive movements, powerful high-flying kicks, and a series of strong, precise blows that shattered wooden planks.


Each movement, a seamless blend of strength and creativity, drew continuous applause from the audience, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the performance.

Particularly noteworthy was the spectacular mid-air kick that shattered the wooden board with perfect precision, causing the entire arena to erupt in cheers.

The moment the athletes, with the red flag bearing a yellow star on their shoulders, turned towards the national flag and sang the national anthem in front of their international friends.

This is also the first gold medal for Vietnamese taekwondo at this year's SEA Games, opening up an exciting day of competition for the team, looking ahead to the remaining events of the sport.
