Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy screened the film "Red Rain" to support the people of Central Vietnam.

(CTO) - On November 30, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy in collaboration with Viettel Can Tho Military Telecommunications Group organized a screening of the film "Red Rain" for students, staff, teachers and workers of the school. Thereby, mobilizing donations to support the people of the Central region affected by storms and floods.

There are 3 free screenings from afternoon to evening at the school. Students, staff, teachers, and workers can register to watch with their relatives.

During the screenings, the school encouraged viewers to contribute to support the people of Central Vietnam by transferring money (via the donation wallet QR code shown on the two screens on the side of the hall) or cash into the donation box. The total amount collected was over 162 million VND. All of this money will be transferred to localities affected by natural disasters.

The film “Red Rain” was produced by the People's Army and premiered in September 2025. The film tells the story of the 81-day and night battle to protect Quang Tri Citadel in 1972 by the Vietnamese army during the resistance war against the US to save the country. After 1 month of showing in theaters, the film achieved a total revenue of 714 billion VND, becoming the highest-grossing film in the history of the Vietnamese box office. The film is currently being shown for free at schools, units, organizations...
