The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) enrolls 3,899 students for 37 training majors in 2 regular programs: standard program, international standard program. This year, the school uses 3 admission methods.
Method 1 : Direct admission, priority admission, including 4 groups of candidates.
Method 1.1: Direct admission, priority admission according to regular university admission regulations (not applicable to foreign training joint programs).
Method 1.2: Priority is given to direct admission of the best candidates from high schools in 2025 (according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University).
Method 1.3: Priority admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University applied to students of 149 high schools according to the list of regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University).
Method 1.4: Priority is given to students who are members of provincial or municipal teams participating in national excellent student competitions or who won first, second, or third prizes in provincial/municipal excellent student competitions; candidates with achievements in social, artistic, and sports activities (not applicable to foreign joint training programs); candidates who graduated from foreign high school programs; and high school transcripts for 2+2 foreign joint training programs.
Method 2 : Admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025.
Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school exam.

Principles for converting entrance threshold scores and admission scores
The school converts the input threshold between admission methods and admission combinations according to a rule that ensures equivalence in meeting the input requirements of the corresponding training program and major; The input threshold conversion rule follows the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training and Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Admission scores of all methods are converted to a 30-point scale. The school will announce the conversion principles later.
The school also announced the expected admission threshold. In particular, the admission method based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 is expected to be from 620 points or more. For the remaining methods, the expected admission threshold is from 18 - 20 points.
The admission combinations using the 2025 high school graduation results will basically remain the same, the school will only add the D14 (literature, history, English) and D15 (literature, geography, English) combinations to some majors. Specifically, D15 will be added to the office administration major and D14 will be added to the language majors (except English).
With the admission method based on high school graduation results in 2025, some majors apply a coefficient of 2 for the main subject in the admission subject group with a main subject, specifically as in the following table:
Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities also notes that candidates who want to apply for admission to majors with foreign language subject combinations must register for the foreign language exam. The school will not use the results of the foreign language exam exemption in the 2025 university entrance exam.
