The first private university to achieve FIBAA international education quality accreditation standards

A private university in Ho Chi Minh City has just been recognized and awarded a certificate of educational quality accreditation by FIBAA, becoming the first private university to receive this certification.

Dr. Vo Van Tuan, Vice Principal of Van Lang University, said that the school has just been recognized by the FIBAA quality accreditation organization and awarded a certificate of educational institution quality accreditation, with 100% of the criteria meeting the standards.

Of these, nearly 50% of the criteria exceeded the quality requirements and two criteria were assessed as outstanding (strategic objectives and quality management strategy). This certification is valid until 2030.

Thus, up to now, there are 4 higher education institutions in Vietnam that have completed the quality accreditation process of FIBAA, including Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics , National Economics University and Van Lang University.

FIBAA is the Swiss Government's quality assurance organization, headquartered in both Germany and Switzerland. This organization applies European standards, conducts accreditation, evaluation and development of educational institutions and programs worldwide in the fields of social sciences and humanities, law, administration and economics.

FIBAA organization awarded the certificate of educational quality accreditation to Van Lang University

Professor Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management of the Ministry of Education and Training, informed that as of September 30, 2024, Vietnam has nearly 600 internationally accredited training programs and 11 higher education institutions recognized as meeting quality standards by international education quality accreditation organizations.

"To achieve FIBAA's educational quality certification, schools must follow a strict accreditation process according to FIBAA's criteria on strategic goals, quality management system, training programs, quality of teaching staff, scientific research, student support services and facilities," said Professor Huynh Van Chuong.

Also on this occasion, Van Lang University received certification from the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance Organization (AUN-QA) for two training programs in fashion design and interior design.
