Truong Giang: "I feel ashamed when I beat Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc"

Winning the Best Actor award in the web drama category of the Green Star Awards, Truong Giang admitted that he was still inferior in terms of qualifications and knowledge compared to Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc.

On the evening of January 10, the 10th Green Star Awards ceremony took place at Hoa Binh Theater (HCMC) with the participation of many artists: People's Artist Kim Xuan, People's Artist Hong Van, Tran Thanh, Truong Giang, Viet Huong...

The awards honored 27 individuals and winning groups in 3 categories: Cinema (10 awards), TV series (11 awards), web drama (6 awards).

In the web drama category, Truong Giang's Delivery Chairman won 3 awards including: Most Favorite Actor (voted by the audience), Best Actress (voted by the Arts Council) and Best Web Drama (voted by the Arts Council).

In the Best Actor award for the web drama category, Truong Giang was on the same nomination list as Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc. When receiving the award, Nha Phuong's husband unexpectedly admitted that he felt embarrassed in front of his senior.

Truong Giang said: "This award is the love that everyone has for me, and being on the same nomination list with Mr. Thanh Loc, but I am the one who won the award, that is a shame for Truong Giang because in terms of level and knowledge, I am not as good as him. This is considered my debt of gratitude, this debt I will repay to the audience from now until the end of my life."

With the award for Most Favorite Actor in the web drama category, Truong Giang refused to accept the award for himself, instead he said that this was a family award because he, HieuThuHai and Ngo Kien Huy are "three brothers in the same family" when standing on the same nomination list.

On the third time stepping on stage to receive the award for Best Web Drama, Truong Giang said: "I didn't think I would be on stage for the third time tonight. Delivery Chairman was born with the original purpose of giving it to the audience, but I didn't expect to receive love a thousand times like that. It's true that in this life, doing anything good will be rewarded a thousand times better."

Similar to Truong Giang, Thach Sanh Ly Thanh by Ngoc Thanh Tam also won 3 awards for the web drama category including: Best Actress (voted by the Art Council), Most Favorite Actress (voted by the audience) and Most Favorite Web Drama (voted by the audience).

Ngoc Thanh Tam admits that she still has many shortcomings, so the award is a great encouragement for her to improve herself. The beauty promises to try twice as hard to not let down those who love her.

In the film category, Mrs. Nu's House was called out 3 times with the awards: Best Actress, Best Director and Best Film, all voted by the Arts Council.

As the artist who won the Best Actress award, Le Giang hesitantly said: "I feel very happy, because in 36 years of working, I have just received such an award."

Tran Thanh "surpassed" Victor Vu and Bui Thac Chuyen to win the Best Director award.

He said: "Standing on the same nomination board with my seniors, honestly I am just a "shrimp". I think this is an award that the Arts Council wants to encourage and support the young generation to continue to strive. I still have a lot to learn from Victor Vu and Bui Thac Chuyen. I am just a rookie and Mrs. Nu's House is just my second film".

In addition, in the film category, Minh Hang attracted attention when she received the award for Most Favorite Actress for her role as Ba Tra in the movie Sister Sister 2. After a period of "hiding" to take care of her family, this is the first time the beauty born in 1987 has appeared before the media.

Minh Hang added: "The trophy is like a precious gift for me. As everyone knows, for an actor, working is an honor. When I temporarily retired for nearly a year, I felt a lot of sadness and remorse because I knew there were still many things waiting for me out there. This award gave me a lot of motivation and encouragement to return to art."
