Ho Chi Minh City Preschools are allowed to take care of children for 2 summer months, from June 15, depending on parents' needs.
The information was stated by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training in a document guiding the organization of summer activities on June 1. Accordingly, the Department requires schools to ensure enough teachers and strictly implement regulations on disease prevention and control, and food hygiene and safety when taking care of children.
Regarding the content of activities, schools can enhance skills education, play, experience, and physical training for children. If they plan to renovate or repair facilities during the summer, they must not affect the health and activities of children.
For children new to the class, the school needs to create conditions for parents and caregivers to introduce their children to the new school.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said it will inspect the organization of summer activities at preschools and ask relevant units to coordinate with local authorities to strengthen this work.
Currently, the city has 1,305 preschools with more than 309,000 children. Since the end of May, schools have closed and children have had summer vacation. This has caused many families to face difficulties because they have no one to look after their children, while parents still have to go to work.
For primary, secondary and high schools, public schools are prohibited from organizing extra classes or tutoring in any form during the summer.
