On the morning of October 22, at the Quang Tri Martyrs' Cemetery, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, People's Council and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province held a memorial service and burial ceremony for 34 martyrs' remains discovered and gathered in Quang Tri ward.
Attending the ceremony were Major General Doan Quang Hoa - Director of the Department of Social Policy, General Department of Politics ; Colonel Ngo Nam Cuong - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of departments and branches and a large number of officers, soldiers and people.
Speaking at the memorial service, Mr. Le Duc Tien - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee - emotionally said: "Quang Tri always considers the work of gratitude as a sacred responsibility, a command from the heart. Each candle, each incense stick today is a deep gratitude sent to those who have fallen for the Fatherland."
After the memorial service, leaders, officers, soldiers and people offered incense, flowers, observed a moment of silence and buried the remains of 34 martyrs.

From September 14 to October 16, the Martyr Remains Collection Team 584 (Quang Tri Provincial Military Command) searched for and collected 34 martyrs' remains. Of these, 32 remains were at the special national relic of Quang Tri Citadel and 2 remains were at the Bo De School campus.
In these two areas, Quang Tri province is carrying out a project to restore and embellish the relics. The martyrs' remains were discovered during the construction.
