Wanted woman who swindled over 1.4 billion VND

(NLDO)- It is unlikely that Ngo Thi Cuc Phuong and another person promised to release the victim's husband on bail and appropriated 1.4 billion VND.


The Investigation Police Agency of Hanoi City Police has just issued a wanted notice for Ngo Thi Cuc Phuong (born in 1988, permanent residence 161/35/20 Lac Long Quan, Tay Ho District, Hanoi) for the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property.

According to initial investigation, through social relationships, Phuong and her friend A. met Ms. LTHD. Through that, Phuong learned that Ms. D.'s husband was being prosecuted and was being subject to temporary detention.

Although they were unable to do so, Phuong and A. promised to release Ms. D.'s husband on bail. Phuong and A. then appropriated 1.4 billion VND from Ms. D.

On January 13, 2025, the Hanoi City Police Department issued a decision to prosecute Ngo Thi Cuc Phuong for fraud and property appropriation. However, the defendant has fled her residence and her whereabouts are unknown.

Hanoi City Police announced that if they discover where the suspect Ngo Thi Cuc Phuong is, people can report to the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency (Investigator Nguyen Van Tuan - Phone: 0934.350.505), the nearest police agency or provide information via the Hanoi City Police Facebook page.
