Heavy rain is forecasted to occur in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa in the next 24-48 hours. From July 11, the heat wave will gradually subside.

From this evening until July 10, the mountainous and midland areas of the North will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, and locally very heavy rain. Rainfall is generally from 20-50mm, with some places over 150mm.

From the night of July 10 to July 11, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Rainfall is generally 30-70mm, in some places over 150mm.

From the night of July 11 to the night of July 12, these areas will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain. Rainfall is generally 40-90mm, with some places having over 150mm.

Total rainfall from the night of July 10 to July 12 is generally 70-150mm, with some places over 300mm.

From July 13, heavy rain in the North and Thanh Hoa is likely to gradually decrease.

The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
