Each lyric seems to come from the pure, passionate hearts of those who hold the pen. The cheerful, bustling melody, the enthusiastic, emotional lyrics have entered the minds of many generations of journalists.
"Oh my dear, my hometown is entering the new millennium/ Oh my dear, my hometown is full of life and vitality.../ In the midst of the ups and downs of life, in the midst of the bustling construction site, there is still you, oh journalist/ Crossing mountains and streams, in the middle of a hot summer noon, there is still me, the female reporter/..." The simple yet sweet lyrics, like the confession of a couple who love their homeland, are also the voice of their hearts before the drastic changes of the country.
Musician Le Tu Anh, who composed this song, said that he has a special “fate” with journalists. When he was working at professional art units in the province, he and reporters often traveled to perform in remote areas where life was still full of deprivation. They ate rice balls, drank spring water, carried equipment, crossed forests and waded through streams… to bring art and information to the people. It was from these conversations on the sidelines of those difficult journeys that he understood better the work and ideals of journalists, people who devoted themselves to the flow of fresh information, for the mission of connecting “the Party’s will - the people’s hearts”.
The song “How Much I Love Thai Nguyen Newspaper” was born after a conference organized by Thai Nguyen Newspaper, inviting musicians in the province to attend and raise the issue of composing a song specifically for local Party journalists. Two days after that conference, the song was officially born, as a profound spiritual gift, expressing the hearts of the people of Thai Nguyen ethnic groups towards journalism.
Throughout his prolific composing career, musician Le Tu Anh has left his mark with nearly 100 songs, dozens of instrumental pieces, dance music, musicals, and thousands of arrangements for large and small programs. Most of his works are about the land and people of Thai Nguyen, a land of affection and rich revolutionary traditions. But “How Much I Love Thai Nguyen Newspaper” is the only song he dedicated to journalists as a heartfelt tribute, as a proud song about dedicated, brave journalists who are not afraid of hardship to bring the truth to readers.
What is special is that besides professional musicians, in the Thai Nguyen press village, there are also songs composed by journalists themselves, "amateurs" who make music with both love for the profession and real emotions. One of them is journalist Phan Huu Minh, who has been involved in journalism for more than 40 years, holding many important positions such as: Editor-in-Chief of Thai Nguyen Newspaper, Director of Radio - Television Station, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Head of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association .

But that precious message has long been conveyed only through the press and media. If only there were a way to spread it more widely, to touch the hearts of more people...
And he thought of music, a language that transcends all distances, touching human emotions gently but deeply. Not a professional musician, he still wrote the lyrics himself, then asked Hoang Toan to sign the music. After only a short time, the song was born and quickly received love and sympathy from colleagues and friends in the press everywhere.
The song “Proud of Vietnamese Press” has a solemn and heroic melody, recreating the glorious journey of revolutionary journalism associated with the land of Viet Bac - the origin of the revolution and revolutionary journalism of our country. Lyrics such as: “We were born in the vast green forests of Viet Bac / Where Uncle Ho once led the army to fight the enemy” evoke the sacred atmosphere of the revolutionary origin, placing journalism in the great flow of national history.
The song emphasizes the role of journalists as not only news deliverers but also pioneers, contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland. Although not elaborate in form, the song is still full of emotions, easy to spread, as a word of gratitude, encouragement to those who are dedicating themselves to journalism day and night.
