At around 10:00 p.m. on March 18, 2019, people in the Dong Huong bridge area, Le Loi avenue (in Dong Huong ward, Thanh Hoa city) were horrified to witness dozens of people chasing each other on the street and shooting each other. Although the incident did not cause any casualties, it was serious and caused panic among the people. Immediately after the incident occurred, the Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police directed professional units to urgently investigate and clarify the matter.

During the investigation, Thanh Hoa police determined that due to a previous conflict, Tuan directed his juniors to find and beat up Le Quang Cuong's group, firing several warning shots. After committing the crime, Tuan "the genie" and his juniors fled. The Investigation Police Agency prosecuted Tuan "the genie" for "disturbing public order". With the above charge, Tuan "the genie" continued to go to prison for 10 months.

Notably, Tuan "the genie" has posted on social networks, made statements, and sent warning messages to some social network gangsters.

On May 11, 2023, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police searched the residence of Tuan "the genie" (No. 173, Le Hoan Street, Lam Son Ward, Thanh Hoa City). The incident of the police searching the residence of gangster boss Tuan "the genie" became the focus of public attention. The search was completed at around 1:00 p.m. the same day.
