The Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign has become an annual activity, bearing the mark of the youth of the whole country, the youth of the whole province, including the youth of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises. From there , it contributes to continuing the volunteer spirit of previous generations of youth, affirming the responsibility, determination to act, enthusiasm and intelligence of the youth for the development of the country and homeland.
2023, The summer volunteer campaign took place from May to September, continuing to be specified by the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of the provincial agencies and enterprises according to each target, including 8 groups of targets, 1 program and 3 campaigns (Program "Supporting exam season"; Volunteer campaign "Green summer", "Red phoenix flower", "Pink vacation") and simultaneously organized 4 peak activity days in the Campaign, focusing on activities participating in digital transformation, participating in building new rural areas to improve models, developing local tourism , participating in environmental protection, accompanying and taking care of children and teenagers associated with the implementation of projects, tasks, and activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province (October 30, 1963 - October 30, 2023).
To kick off a series of activities in the Campaign, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of the Bloc launched the Youth Volunteer Summer Campaign at the Bloc level; the "Pink Vacation" Campaign at the provincial level in 2023 in Quang Long commune, Hai Ha district, on June 3.
Right at the launching program, the Youth Union of the Provincial People's Committee Office awarded 50 million VND to build a youth project at the Youth Union level "Solar-powered lighting road" to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province in Quang Long commune, Hai Ha district, with 25 light bulbs lighting up the 1,000m long road. After the project was put into use, the entire Quang Long commune had 236 households enjoying it, supporting the locality in ensuring rural security, lighting village roads, alleys and contributing to environmental protection.
Also at the program, the Youth Union presented 10 study corners worth 15 million VND to 10 children in difficult circumstances; examined, consulted, and gave free medicine to more than 830 people; promoted online public services and smart new rural areas to 200 people and youth union members in Hai Ha district.
The spirit, enthusiasm and passion of the youth of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises continued to grow after the launching ceremony. The Youth Union at all levels of the Bloc continued to implement and undertake practical and meaningful projects and tasks that bear the mark of youth.
From a vacant land in a campus of nearly 2,000 square meters, which has been wild for a long time, with grass growing, old and broken playground equipment that can no longer be used in Quang An commune, Dam Ha district, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of the Bloc has chosen to implement the project "Playground for children". During the construction process, the Youth Union of the Bloc coordinated with the locality to build, repair, and repaint the entire surrounding wall; build and renovate flower beds; pour concrete on the surface of the playground; renew the welcome gate, nameplate, cement, paint volleyball and basketball courts, design and install 15 playground equipment, and lay artificial grass to create a green, clean and beautiful space. The project was implemented from June 2023, with a total value of 70 million VND, of which the Youth Union of the Bloc mobilized social support from MKL Company to support 50 million VND, and Dam Ha District Youth Union supported 20 million VND. This continues to be a youth project at the Bloc level to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province (October 30, 1963 - October 30, 2023), a meaningful community activity spot for children and people of Dong Thanh village.
Sticking to the key tasks in the Campaign, the entire Bloc focused on deploying the teams of Exam Support, Red Flamboyant, Green Summer and Pink Vacation attracting thousands of Youth Union members to participate. Since the beginning of the Campaign, the entire Union has donated 1 outdoor exercise equipment project to the community; lit up 1 km of rural roads with solar lights; organized 4 free medical examinations and medicine distribution sessions for nearly 2,000 people, donated 130 units of blood; presented 20 study corners and 255 gifts to children in difficult circumstances; 30 gifts to policy families; supported 1,800 level 3,4 files undertaken by Youth Union members; organized career counseling for 1,452 students; trained 350 Youth Union members on start-up knowledge; implementing the Market 4.0 model "Cashless payment", giving QR code designs to 70 small traders... with a total value of socialized resources mobilized of nearly 600 million VND.
Comrade Vu Thi Thuy Linh, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises, said: This year's Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign has been implemented in a new way, focusing on the implementation content with a focus and key points, towards the grassroots; associated with the political tasks of agencies, units and the practical needs of the locality; strongly applying digital transformation; focusing on implementing the policy of "3 links" (linking forces, linking localities, linking communities), contributing to creating sustainability for projects and tasks of the youth. Through movements and activities, create an environment for union members and young people to cultivate knowledge, practice social work capacity and political courage, and contribute their youth to community activities as well as the overall development of the province.
With the enthusiasm and spirit of initiative and creativity of the youth union members, the 2023 summer volunteer journey will continue to extend with specific, practical, effective and meaningful works and tasks, aiming to celebrate the important event of the 60th anniversary of the province's founding, contributing to Build Quang Ninh to truly become a model province, rich, beautiful, civilized and modern.
