According to comrade Doan Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Youth Union, this is a meaningful activity expressing gratitude and deep gratitude to heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, relatives of martyrs, families with meritorious services to the revolution, and at the same time is a promise of the young generation to follow the good tradition of previous generations, promote intelligence, creativity, initiative, volunteer to go anywhere, do anything when the Fatherland and people need.

In commemoration of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, it is noted that in recent times, all levels of the Youth Union, Association and Teams in Lang Son province have organized practical activities to show gratitude to the previous generation such as: visiting, giving gifts, caring for and supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; organizing "Warm and loving reunion meals" at families with meritorious services; maintaining hundreds of volunteer campaigns to clean, embellish and renovate steles, cemeteries and memorials of heroic martyrs...
At the candle-lighting ceremony last night, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Lang Son Provincial Youth Union, along with delegates and members of the Youth Union, observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland; respectfully offered incense and flowers to express their respect to the generations of fathers and brothers who devoted their whole lives to the independence and freedom of the nation.

Along with the whole country, July 27 every year is a time for cadres and party members, especially the young generation of Lang Son, to express their gratitude, demonstrate their sense of responsibility and will to continue the heroic tradition in the struggle to build and defend the country.
These practical activities have been building patriotism, national pride, and awareness of building an increasingly civilized and prosperous homeland and country among the young generation of Lang Son.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the ceremony presented 40 gifts to war invalids, sick soldiers and relatives of martyrs in the 4 wards of Dong Kinh, Ky Lua, Tam Thanh and Luong Van Tri of Lang Son province.
