My Khanh Youth Union carries out many meaningful projects and tasks

Youth Union members of My Khanh commune repaired roads in My Hoa hamlet, helping people travel easily.

The Youth Union of My Khanh commune has just started to patch up the road connecting groups 40 and 41, in My Hoa hamlet, helping people travel safely. This 1km long road is seriously degraded, with many peeling spots, not ensuring safety for traffic participants. My Khanh commune union coordinated with My Hoa hamlet officials to mobilize sponsors and local residents to contribute 5 million VND to buy sand, rocks, and cement to patch up the road. Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, in My Hoa hamlet, said: "In 1 day, 15 Youth Union members and residents transported sand, rocks, and mixed mortar to patch up the damaged spots on the road. Thanks to that, the concrete road surface became flat, clear, ensuring safety for people participating in traffic."

In addition, to improve the criteria of a model new rural commune, My Khanh Commune Youth Union coordinated with the Women's Union of My Khanh Commune and the Youth Union of An Hoa Ward, Ninh Kieu District to plant 150 bougainvillea trees on the traffic route in My Hoa Hamlet. At the same time, the Commune Youth Union also mobilized 800 yellow trumpet vine trees to plant along the traffic route in My Long Hamlet...

In addition, My Khanh Commune Youth Union coordinated with students from FPT University Can Tho to carry out the project "For a beautiful school for children" at My Khanh Kindergarten. Volunteers and Youth Union members of My Khanh commune drew and repainted new stone benches, painted environmental protection propaganda pictures, repainted manhole covers, flower beds in the school yard... This activity attracted 30 Youth Union members to participate with a total amount of about 4 million VND. Ms. Tran Dang Nguyet Que, a teacher at My Khanh Kindergarten, excitedly said: "Previously, the stone benches in the school yard looked very monotonous. Through the skillful hands of the Youth Union members, the benches were decorated with many images, bright colors, and delicate lines to help children recognize colors, natural scenery and animals... In addition to the meaning of propaganda and education for students, the project also increases the aesthetics of the school and classroom landscape and helps students love the school they are studying at more".

With the spirit of "Where there is a need, there is a youth, where there is difficulty, there is a youth", the Youth Union of My Khanh commune and the local people participated in dismantling, cleaning, and handing over the site to implement the program of removing temporary and dilapidated houses for Mr. Ly Van Bong in My Phuoc hamlet. Mr. Ly Van Bong said: "In March 2025, the Youth Union members did not mind the heat and hardship to help me clean up, dismantle the old house and gather construction materials to prepare to build a house. I am very grateful to the Youth Union members and the local government for their attention and help in helping me build a solid house".

Mr. Huynh Ngoc Bao, Secretary of My Khanh Commune Youth Union, added: “To contribute to improving the criteria of a model new rural commune, My Khanh Commune Youth Union will continue to promote the spirit of volunteerism of the Youth Union members in participating in environmental protection activities, improving the green - clean - beautiful landscape; mobilizing socialization to patch up degraded traffic routes, serving well the traffic needs in the locality…”.
