Help people settle down
Two young households, Briu Xuoc and Abing Duoi in Tr'leê village (A Tieng commune, Tay Giang), are facing housing difficulties, but the family does not have the funds to repair or rebuild.
Grasping information from the grassroots, Tay Giang District Youth Union called for social resources to support these two households with 7,000 bricks and 200 bags of cement. At the same time, mobilized union members and youth to participate in demolishing old houses, leveling the ground, transporting materials...
After more than 1 month of construction, the new house of Briu Xuoc and Abing Duoi has been completed and put into use since March 2025. Both houses are level 4 houses, with tiled floors and solid corrugated iron roofs. The total construction cost is 70 million VND, of which the Tay Giang District Youth Union has called for support of 50 million VND.
Mr. Briu Xuoc shared: “Without the support of the district’s youth union members, I don’t know when my family would have been able to build a new house. This charitable house helps us stabilize our lives, eases our worries every time there are storms, and becomes the motivation to rise up and escape poverty.”
In recent years, the work of eliminating temporary houses and supporting housing for poor and disadvantaged households has been integrated by Tay Giang District Youth Union into major programs such as Youth Month, Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Winter Volunteer Campaign, and Spring Volunteer Campaign.
Statistics from 2023 to present, Tay Giang District Youth Union has called for socialized resources to support housing with a total budget of more than 400 million VND, mobilizing union members and youth to contribute hundreds of working days to eliminate temporary houses in localities.
Particularly from the beginning of 2025 until now, in addition to supporting houses for the two households of Briu Xuoc and Abing Duoi, Tay Giang District Youth Union also called for support of a house worth 50 million VND for the household of Aral Adây (member of the Association of Former Youth Volunteers in Acap village, A Nong commune); mobilized union members and young people to contribute more than 30 million VND to support the families of two union members Hoih Ru and Hoih Reu to rebuild a new house after the fire.
“We have asked the youth unions of communes and affiliated unions to mobilize social resources and contribute working days to support at least 2 temporary houses/commune. At the same time, we continue to review ethnic minority youth households with housing difficulties to have appropriate support plans.
Hopefully, the spirit of volunteerism and initiative of the youth will contribute significantly to helping Tay Giang effectively implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in this final stage" - Mr. Aral Hoang - Secretary of Tay Giang District Youth Union shared.
