On the morning of April 22, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin held a conference to honor typical and advanced victims of Agent Orange and to express gratitude to benefactors who joined hands to ease the pain of Agent Orange in the period of 2020 - 2025. Attending were comrades: Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin; Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Van Nghiem, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Thai Binh is one of the provinces with the largest number of Agent Orange victims in the country, with more than 30,000 people suspected of being infected with Agent Orange. With the attention of the Party, the State and the people, the Provincial Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims has done a good job of caring for, helping and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Agent Orange victims, along with effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements.

Responding to the movements: For Agent Orange victims, the whole country joins hands to build new rural areas, the whole people unite to build a cultural life, in the period of 2020 - 2025, the provincial Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims at all levels mobilized organizations and individuals to support nearly 40 billion VND to build and repair dozens of gratitude houses; presented more than 200,000 gifts to Agent Orange victims in difficult circumstances; detoxified and improved the health of more than 1,200 Agent Orange victims... In addition, Agent Orange officials and members in the whole province contributed 35,000 working days, donated more than ^5,000m2 of land, and supported more than 800 million VND to build new rural areas; actively participated in building cultural life and maintaining security and order in the locality. From the movements, many typical and advanced examples of Agent Orange victims have emerged in various fields and many philanthropists have joined hands to ease the pain of Agent Orange.

Speaking at the conference, the Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in recent years. He hoped that the Association would do a better job in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of victims of Agent Orange in the province. Party committees, authorities, organizations, businesses, and philanthropists would continue to pay attention, create conditions, and join hands to help victims of Agent Orange, helping them overcome difficulties and improve their lives.

At the conference, the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin presented the emulation flag of the leading unit in the 2024 emulation movement to the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin. The associations at all levels also commended and rewarded 50 victims of Agent Orange with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movements in the period of 2020 - 2025 and expressed gratitude to a number of businesses and philanthropists who have made many contributions to caring for and helping victims of Agent Orange, contributing to easing the pain of Agent Orange.
