Vietnam futsal team enters Asian finals with 3 wins

The Vietnamese futsal team has qualified for the finals after winning the third match against Lebanon in the final round of the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers.

On the afternoon of September 24, the Vietnamese futsal team defeated Lebanon 4-0 in the final round of Group E of the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship qualifying round held in China.

Before this match, the Vietnamese futsal team was leading the group after two consecutive wins against Hong Kong 9-1 and China 7-2. Lebanon ranked second with 4 points after a 2-1 win over China and a 1-1 draw with Hong Kong.

Therefore, this match is an opportunity for both Vietnam and Lebanon futsal teams to win, thereby taking the top spot in the group and directly entering the final round.

With a 28-rank difference in the FIFA rankings, the Vietnamese futsal team (ranked 26th in the world ) will not have difficulty dominating the game against Lebanon (ranked 54th).

In the 9th minute, Manh Dung intercepted the opponent's pass, then passed back to Da Hai to easily score the opening goal.

Immediately after the kick-off, the Vietnamese futsal team continued to score, raising the score to 2-0 thanks to Manh Dung.

In the 11th minute, Ngoc Anh dribbled the ball down the left wing before passing it back to Tu Minh Quang to simply score, raising the score to 3-0. This was also the score of the first half.

In the first three minutes of the second half, Lebanon continuously attacked and had 3 dangerous shots. One of them missed the post by a hair in the 23rd minute.

In the 25th minute, Hassan received a second yellow card and left the field after a foul on Ngoc Anh and argued fiercely with the referee.

Taking advantage of the extra player, the Vietnamese futsal team raised the score to 4-0 just one minute later thanks to Ngoc Anh.

In the following minutes, Lebanon also had a few dangerous attacks, but only caused Thinh Phat to receive a yellow card in the 31st minute instead of scoring a goal.

With a 4-0 victory over Lebanon, coach Diego Giustozzi and his team have successfully secured a ticket to the final round with the top spot in the group after three consecutive wins. Lebanon will have to wait for one of the seven wildcard tickets for the second-placed team with the best record in the eight groups.
