Recruiting lecturers to teach Vietnamese in Laos with salary of 720 USD/month

The Ministry of Education and Training announced the recruitment of 35 teachers and lecturers to teach Vietnamese in the Lao People's Democratic Republic for the 2023-2025 term.

It is known that this program is part of the Project "Improving the quality and effectiveness of Vietnam-Laos cooperation in the field of education and human resource development for the period 2021-2030" between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Laos.

A Vietnamese class abroad

Accordingly, the candidates are teachers, lecturers on the payroll or on a long-term contract of 1 year or more, currently teaching at general education institutions, universities or pedagogical colleges. Priority is given to candidates with experience teaching Vietnamese, literature or linguistics.

Male candidates must be no older than 55 years old, female candidates must be no older than 50 years old (as of July 20, 2023), have a university degree or higher, have a professional certificate appropriate to the position, have at least 1 year of teaching experience, and commit to voluntarily teaching in Laos and returning to their home country at the end of their term of office.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training will pay a salary of 720 USD/month (about 17 million VND), health insurance, and a round-trip airfare for the entire term of office.

The application file includes an application form certified by the management agency, a letter of introduction from the working agency, a copy of the recruitment decision or labor contract, a resume certified by the working agency, a health certificate, copies of diplomas, certificates, etc. (information and related documents are available at www.moet.gov.vn, www.icd.edu.vn).
