During the training trip in Japan to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's team had a favorable start with a 3-0 victory over the women's team of Aichi Toho University (Japan) on the afternoon of November 24.
Right after the opening whistle, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team took the initiative to dominate the game and continuously created threats to the opponent's goal. Although they did not score in the first half, the team still maintained a stable attacking rhythm and controlled the ball well.
In the second half, the coaching staff's personnel adjustments began to take effect. In the 53rd minute, Bich Thuy opened the score with a decisive shot in the penalty area. Just three minutes later, the veteran midfielder continued to shine when doubling the gap for the Vietnamese women's team.

In the 69th minute, Thai Thi Thao, who had just entered the field for 2 minutes, scored the winning goal 3-0 after a neat and delicate handling situation.
In this match, coach Mai Duc Chung used many substitutions to test the lineup and evaluate the performance of each position. Overall, the Vietnamese women's team maintained the initiative, ensured the volume of tactical operations and showed a positive fighting spirit throughout the 90 minutes.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese women's team will play three friendly matches during their training camp in Japan. After the opening match against Aichi Toho University, the players will continue to face Shizuoka Sangyo on November 26 and Shizuoka SSU Bonita Club on November 28. These are considered important tests before the team aims to defend their achievements at the 33rd SEA Games.
