Propaganda for Ha Tinh enterprises and cooperatives to produce and consume sustainably

More than 100 enterprises and cooperatives in Ha Tinh province were disseminated and propagated about sustainable production and consumption.

On the morning of September 21, the Department of Industry and Trade held a conference to disseminate and propagate sustainable production and consumption. Representatives of departments, sectors, localities and more than 100 enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments in Ha Tinh attended the conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Le Xuan Tu emphasized: On December 15, 2020, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province issued Plan No. 484/KH-UBND to implement the national action program on sustainable production and consumption for the period 2021 - 2025 in Ha Tinh province. To concretize the plan, the Department of Industry and Trade organized this conference to raise awareness for enterprises, production and business establishments, and cooperatives in Ha Tinh about sustainable production and consumption.

At the conference, representatives of enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments listened to Ms. Bui Thi Xuan Huong - lecturer of the College of Economics - Trade Technology ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) thoroughly and disseminate the topics: National action program on sustainable production and consumption to 2020, vision to 2030; solutions to promote sustainable production and consumption activities for local socio-economic development; implementing circular economy towards sustainable development goals.

Through the conference, enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments are equipped with basic knowledge about sustainable production and consumption to apply to their units; thereby developing resources, fuels, raw materials and environmentally friendly products that can be regenerated, reused and recycled; promoting sustainable lifestyles and improving people's quality of life; aiming to develop a circular economy in the province, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

According to Plan No. 484/KH-UBND implementing the national action program on sustainable production and consumption for the period 2021 - 2025 in Ha Tinh, the whole province strives for 85% of districts, towns and cities to organize propaganda and disseminate knowledge on sustainable production and consumption; reduce by 5 - 8% the consumption of raw materials and fuels of manufacturing industries such as: textiles, steel, chemicals, alcohol, soft drinks, seafood processing and some other manufacturing industries;

80% of economic zones, industrial parks, industrial clusters, and craft villages disseminate and raise awareness about sustainable production and consumption; build and apply 1-2 sustainable production and consumption models; disseminate and replicate models of cleaner production and sustainable production and consumption models.
