On the afternoon of December 17th, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, in coordination with the Yen Son Ward Party Committee, organized a conference to disseminate information and encourage the public to adopt civilized lifestyles in tourism; civilized practices in weddings, funerals, and festivals.

Attending the event were Comrade Dang Anh Tuan, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; leaders of the Department of Tourism; the Department of Culture and Sports ; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Yen Son Ward Party Committee; and more than 200 officials and people in the ward.

The speaker presented a thematic report on civilized tourism at the conference.

At the conference , the speakers presented thematic information on mobilizing the people to adopt a civilized lifestyle in tourism ; civilized practices in weddings, funerals, and festivals in Ninh Binh province .

Specifically, the province currently maintains a rate of over 98% of weddings conducted in accordance with civilized customs, clearly demonstrating a shift in the awareness and behavior of the people. Most weddings are organized in a dignified, simple, and economical manner, suitable to the family's economic conditions and local customs. The practice of excessive dowry demands, indiscriminate guest invitations, and the use of alcohol and tobacco at wedding receptions has significantly decreased. Many localities have replicated the "Civilized Wedding - 6 No's" model, which includes: No excessive dowry demands, no indiscriminate guest invitations, no smoking, no drinking alcohol, no ostentatious displays, and no playing music beyond permitted hours. This model is implemented in conjunction with the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement, becoming a criterion for evaluating culturally exemplary families and residential areas annually.

Funeral practices have also undergone many positive changes, gradually becoming more orderly, civilized, solemn, economical, and in accordance with the customs and traditions of each locality .

For festivals, management, decentralization, inspection, and supervision are carried out rigorously; acts of exchanging small denominations of money, soliciting customers, superstition, and the widespread burning of votive paper have significantly decreased. Festival service activities are arranged and closely monitored, ensuring environmental hygiene, food safety, public order, and the aesthetic appeal of historical sites. In particular, many traditional festivals of the province have been closely linked with cultural and spiritual tourism activities, contributing to promoting the image of Ninh Binh to domestic and international tourists.

Despite the achievements, some localities still exhibit extravagant and ostentatious wedding ceremonies, excessive alcohol consumption, loud music at night, and smoking; encroachment on roads and sidewalks for prolonged wedding and funeral ceremonies still persist.

In the management and organization of festivals, some localities have not strictly followed administrative procedures for notifying and registering festival organizations on the public service portal; overcrowding, pushing and shoving, and arbitrary offerings still occur, causing a loss of aesthetic appeal and affecting security and safety; money exchange services, street vending, soliciting customers, and price gouging still exist, affecting the image of the festival…

Also at the conference , the speaker provided information on the tourism situation in the province; disseminated the Code of Conduct for Civilized Tourism, which emphasizes appropriate, friendly, responsible, and respectful behavior towards tourists. It stressed adherence to the law, focusing on professionalism, brand image, and quality in business to provide reputable goods and services, ensuring the correct quantity and quality for tourists. It also promoted responsible tourism, protecting the natural environment and culture for sustainable tourism.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Dang Anh Tuan, Provincial Party Committee member and Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, emphasized : Through these thematic sessions, local officials and people can grasp new information, orient propaganda and mobilization work, and raise public awareness in complying with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and practicing civilized tourism, weddings, funerals, and festivals , contributing to building a cultural and united community, and maintaining political security and social order in the area.

With the goal of building a cultured and civilized environment in tourism activities, Ninh Binh has implemented many solutions to promote the leading role of local people in welcoming and serving tourists. Through this, the province has increasingly affirmed its brand as a safe and friendly destination, renowned not only for its stunning landscapes but also for showcasing the rich cultural heritage of its people.
