The Provincial People's Committee held its regular meeting in May 2026.

On the afternoon of May 27th, Mr. Le Van Han, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, chaired the regular monthly meeting for May 2026. Attending the meeting were Mr. Doan Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Huynh Van Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of various departments and agencies. The meeting was broadcast online to 96 communes and wards throughout the province.

According to the assessment of the Provincial People's Committee, in May, the province's socio -economic situation continued to achieve many positive results in most areas.

Director of the Department of Finance, Truong Van Liep, provided information on the socio-economic situation in May.

Industrial production was a bright spot, with the industrial production index in May estimated to increase by 2.99% compared to the previous month and by 13.51% compared to the same period in 2025; the cumulative increase for the first five months was 14.91% compared to the same period.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han chaired the discussion and feedback session at the meeting.

Trade and service activities maintained a fairly strong growth momentum, with total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reaching over 94,000 billion VND, an increase of 17.01% compared to the same period last year. Import and export activities recovered positively; import and export turnover in the first 5 months reached over 14.5 billion USD, an increase of 14.92%; of which exports reached over 8 billion USD, an increase of 16.26%.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Van Son delivered a speech at the meeting.

State budget revenue reached over 26,000 billion VND by May 21st, achieving 47.3% of the projected target, an increase of 19.4% compared to the same period last year. In addition, the fields of culture, social affairs, health, education , science and technology, and national defense and security have been implemented synchronously, contributing to the stability of people's lives.

Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Trung Kien, contributed his opinions at the meeting.

Besides the achievements, there are still some limitations in the implementation of tasks, such as the slow disbursement of public investment capital, which has not met the set requirements; the preparation for investment, land clearance, and handling of procedures in some projects are still slow, etc.

Acknowledging the positive results in May 2026, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Han, requested that each member of the Provincial People's Committee, heads of departments, agencies, and localities continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, proactively and decisively lead and manage; closely adhere to assigned tasks, strengthen coordination, and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles; and strive to achieve the highest possible results in the socio-economic development goals and tasks for 2026, especially the double-digit growth target.
