Consulting voters on adjusting administrative names in Tinh Bien town

Specifically, the name of the administrative unit of Tinh Bien Trung commune will be adjusted to An Cu commune, based on the merger of the current 3 communes: An Cu, Van Giao, Vinh Trung. The name of Tinh Bien Nam commune will be adjusted to Nui Cam commune, based on the merger of the current An Hao and Tan Lap communes.

As a result, 99.3% of voters voted in favor of changing the name of An Cu commune; 99.9% of voters agreed with the name of Nui Cam commune. The name change is closely associated with the famous historical site of the Bay Nui region and the naming custom of the people of An Giang. At the same time, it contributes significantly to promoting the tourist destination that the people of An Giang and the Mekong Delta often call.
