Responding to tropical depression, Quang Nam allows students to stay home from school from September 19

On the afternoon of September 18, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province sent a document to the Department of Education and Training of districts, towns, and cities; high schools, boarding schools for ethnic minorities in the province; and the provincial Continuing Education Center regarding students being off school to ensure safety in the face of floods.

Specifically, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam requested the above units to notify students to stay home from school on September 19, assign shifts and promptly report on storms, flash floods, damages and remedial measures to the Department of Education and Training (through the Department Office) for synthesis and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee.

Currently, the water level on Vu Gia - Thu Bon and Tam Ky rivers is changing slowly and is below alert level 1.

The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Quang Nam province has issued a warning that in the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many districts: Bac Tra My, Dai Loc, Dong Giang, Duy Xuyen, Hiep Duc, Nam Giang, Nam Tra My, Nong Son, Nui Thanh, Phuoc Son, Que Son, Tay Giang, Tien Phuoc.
