The youngest professor candidate in 2024 comes from Nam Dinh

The State Council of Professors has just announced the list of candidates proposed by the Council of Professors of all disciplines and interdisciplinary disciplines to be considered for recognition as meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024.

Nationwide, there are 582 candidates proposed by the Council of Professors of the industry and interdisciplinary sectors to be considered for recognition of meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024. Of these, there are 43 professor candidates and 539 associate professor candidates.

Associate Professor Hoang Le Truong (Mathematics) is the youngest professor candidate this year.

Mr. Truong was born in 1984, his hometown is Giao Tien commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province. He is currently working at the Institute of Mathematics - Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Mr. Hoang Le Truong graduated with a degree in Mathematics, majoring in Algebra and Number Theory from the University of Science , Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2006. Three years later (2009), he graduated with a master's degree in this field from Thai Nguyen University.

In 2013, he was awarded a doctorate by Meiji University (Japan) and was recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor in Mathematics in 2020. After graduating from university, Mr. Truong worked as a researcher and then a senior researcher at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Associate Professor Hoang Le Truong's research interests are commutative algebra, computer algebra and its applications; algebraic geometry and its applications. He completed four ministerial-level scientific research projects. He has published 30 scientific articles in prestigious international journals. He also has two published books.

Dr. Pham Viet Hung and Dr. Dao Tuan Anh are the two youngest candidates for associate professorship in Mathematics this year. Both graduated from Hanoi National University of Education and obtained their doctorates in Germany and France.
