Van Don: Meeting with businesses on Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day October 13

On the occasion of the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day on October 13, on the morning of October 8, the People's Committee of Van Don Special Economic Zone held a meeting with businesses operating in the area. Attending the meeting were comrades: Cao Tuong Huy, member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of the Special Economic Zone; Vu Duc Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of the Special Economic Zone; leaders of the Quang Ninh Tourism Association, Van Don Business Association; and representatives of more than 80 businesses, cooperatives, and business households in the Special Economic Zone.

Over the years, Van Don special economic zone has always identified enterprises as a pioneering force, an important driving force to promote socio -economic development. The special economic zone government regularly accompanies, listens, resolves difficulties, and creates a favorable environment for enterprises to confidently invest, expand production and business, and develop sustainably.

Currently, the area has nearly 300 enterprises and 140 cooperatives operating in the fields of construction, tourism , transportation, production, trade - services, aquaculture and seafood processing... In the first 9 months of 2025, the total production value of the whole area reached more than 14,700 billion VND, an increase of 27.3% over the same period; tourism alone welcomed nearly 2 million visitors, with revenue reaching more than 3,000 billion VND.

Leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Van Don special economic zone presented flowers to congratulate businesses and entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Special Zone People's Council affirmed that the development results of the special zone in recent times have had important contributions from the business community and entrepreneurs. Entering the 2025-2030 term, Van Don is identified as a strategic growth pole of Quang Ninh province and the whole country, developing according to the new generation economic zone model, with regional and international competitiveness.

Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Special Zone People's Council spoke at the conference.

Implementing Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo, the special economic zone will continue to advise and propose specific mechanisms and policies to attract domestic and foreign strategic investors, striving for the private economic sector to contribute about 45% of the total product value of the special economic zone by 2030.

He asked businesses to frankly express their opinions and suggestions on breakthrough mechanisms and policies; at the same time, focus on innovation, creativity, technology application, digital transformation, and improving competitiveness. Specialized departments and offices of the special economic zone need to promptly answer and resolve problems related to administrative procedures, land, capital, labor, market, etc. The special economic zone government is committed to accompanying and providing maximum support, maintaining a regular dialogue mechanism, and implementing the motto "Government serves - Enterprises create - People benefit".

The Party Secretary of the special zone also called on the business community to promote social responsibility, link economic development with environmental protection, build a modern corporate culture and actively participate in social security, contributing to building Van Don into a comprehensive, sustainable and prosperous development.

At the conference, business representatives expressed their confidence and excitement about the local development results; at the same time, they proposed a number of recommendations on infrastructure, electricity, water, ports, traditional markets, land lease policies, aquaculture development mechanisms, etc. Leaders of the People's Committee of the special economic zone and specialized departments and offices directly answered and recorded valid opinions, demonstrating a spirit of open, responsible and receptive dialogue.

With the determination to innovate and the desire for development, Van Don special economic zone commits to creating an open and transparent investment environment, providing maximum support for business development, contributing to building this place into a center of tourism, high-class services and modern marine economy - a driving force for development of Quang Ninh province.
